CFMJC Awards Over $325,000 in Grants

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MADISON & JEFFERSON CO. AWARDS OVER $325,000 IN GRANTS
Area Nonprofits Receive Funding for Projects Spanning Jefferson County

MADISON, IN –The Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County (CFMJC) is proud to announce that it has awarded $325,900 in grants this year from its Flexible Community Funds and Field of Interest Funds. Most recently, $290,900 was awarded to 18 nonprofit organizations through CFMJC’s 2023 Competitive Grant Cycle.

Additionally, these funds were utilized earlier in the year to award a $30,000 grant to the Town of Dupont for the Dupont Playground and Park project and an additional $5,000 grant to the Jefferson County Veterans Council Vietnam Veterans Memorial. “Thanks to generous donors who have established these particular funds, we are able to meet the needs of nonprofits serving our communities when it is needed most,” said CFMJC President & CEO Bill Barnes. “These funds work together to make the largest impact for new programs and projects that benefit residents all across Jefferson County.”

Organizations receiving grant funding from the 2023 Competitive Grant Cycle include:  Centerstone of Indiana, Englishton Park Presbyterian Ministries, Inc., The Freedom Center, Inc., Friends of Camp Louis Ernst, Friends of Clifty Falls State Park, Girls Inc. of Jefferson County, The Heritage Trail Conservancy, Jefferson County 4-H & Agricultural Association, Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency, Jefferson County Historical Society, Jefferson County Veterans Council, Kindness Jefferson County, Life Choices Clinic, Madison Main Street Program, Madison Performing Arts Foundation, Prince of Peace Catholic Schools, River Valley Resources/La Casa Amiga, and Trinity United Methodist Church.
