In 1987, Harold and Geneva Andress established a trust in memory of their only child, Jerry, with the Jefferson County Commissioners. In 2008 the Commissioners transferred the Jerry E. Andress Memorial Animal Shelter Endowment to the Community Foundation.
Annual grants from this Designated Fund are made to the Madison/Jefferson County Animal Shelter for shelter’s operation and maintenance costs.
