Tami Hagemier and Chris Lanthier established Grandma’s Cookie Jar Fund in memory of Rita Miller Adams in 2012.
Rita worked at Lanthier Winery nearly 15 years and was adored by fellow employees and customers. The fund’s name was selected as a way to honor Rita’s generous spirit and the special place she kept her charitable giving money, in her cookie jar.
This is a Donor Advised Fund meaning an advisory committee will recommend to the Community Foundation how annual grants from it should be used, taking the causes that mattered to Rita in mind.
