The friends and family of the late Thomas “Dick” Craft, Jr. established this scholarship in his memory in 2007.
Mr. Craft was a guidance counselor for 32 years at Madison Consolidated High School. He was passionate about education and helping students. He was especially active in scholarship activities, helping students continue their education after high school.
Dick believed in community service and contributed greatly to his community through the Elks Club and the Knights of Columbus, and was the president of the Madison Regatta in 1976. He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Each year, the Thomas D. Craft, Jr. Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Madison Consolidated High School graduating senior who has demonstrated good citizenship, has performed community service, and has a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship can be used for tuition at any two or four year college or university.
