The Food for Students Fund was established in 2021 by Elijah Chandler.
Eli established this Designated Fund as a great way to give back to the community that has been so good to him throughout his life. A graduate of Madison Consolidated High School, Eli wanted to be able to help the public schools in Jefferson County so the students, and their parents, can be as successful as possible.
He has a passion for food, and one of his greatest joys in life is cooking with his daughter. Food insecurity is a growing problem in our region, and studies show that students perform better with proper nutrition. Annual grants from this fund will help public schools in Jefferson County assist students and families with lunch expenses.
