The Hanover Optimist Club was a civic organization that began locally in 1968.
In 1996, the club membership decided to dissolve, but they wanted their remaining assets to still make a difference in the Hanover community. With those assets they established the Hanover Fund for Youth at the Community Foundation.
Grants from this Field of Interest Fund are used for programs and projects that affect young people living in the Southwestern school district.
