Long-time Madison Kiwanis Club member John Hawk established this Scholarship through his estate after his death in 2021.
The mission of the Kiwanis is to “make a lasting difference in the lives of children.” John saw the creation of this scholarship as a continuation of his Kiwanis service to the community and its youth.
This scholarship will be awarded to a Jefferson County student planning to continue their education at a post-secondary institution and who demonstrates academic achievement and altruistic service to the community.
