Richard Heck and his wife, Ruth, established the Richard Tevis Heck/Ruth Irwin Heck Endowment in 1995.
Richard was well-known and nationally recognized for his tree farming and conservation skills.
They established this Designated fund to benefit the Indiana Society of American Foresters. Annual grants from this fund assist the Society in carrying out its mission of advancing the science, education, technology, and practice of forestry in Jefferson County.
