Gary and Sue Kemper established the Kristen E. Kemper Memorial Endowment in 2008 to remember their daughter who passed away in a car accident.
Kristin spent most of her life in Jefferson County and was a 1981 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and a 1986 Ball State University graduate, where she received her criminal justice degree. She was employed for two years with the Madison-Jefferson County Youth Shelter as a counselor and then began a career with the Department of Corrections with the State of Indiana as a corrections officer for 17 years. Kristy was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed movies, music and collecting CD’s.
