Jarrett Boyd established this Designated Fund in 2021.
The historic Ohio Theatre is a valued piece of Madison’s Main Street district. The Ohio has been here for decades of first dates and kiddie cartoons, and Jarrett hopes it will continue to be an anchor for downtown Madison. With that in mind, she established this endowment because she sees the theatre’s value not only for the “picture shows,” but as a venue for local theatrical groups, speakers, or musicians. Imagine the possiblity of an annual film festival! Jarrett has a warm place in her heart for the small-town movie due to earning spending money working the concession stand (like the one at the Ohio) during her junior year of high school.
Annual grants from this fund will be made to the Friends of the Ohio Theatre organization to support the Ohio Theatre for years to come.
