The Dr. Harve and Joyce Rawson Memorial Endowment was established in 2008 following Joyce’s unexpected passing.
Mrs. Rawson was a teacher who worked in Madison area schools, as well as one year at the College of Health Sciences in Bahrain. She was a world traveler, having visited 151 countries and every state in America.
This Designated Fund provides annual support for summer camperships for Jefferson County children at Englishton Park in Lexington, Indiana. Mrs. Rawson’s husband, the late Dr. Harve Rawson, began the children’s programs forty years ago. The purpose of the program is to improve academic skills; to change attitudes toward learning; to modify behavior interfering with learning in the class room; and to have the child experience success in school-type activities.
