The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Jefferson County established an endowment for their program in 2007 with a bequest given to them by Mildred Cadle.
Ms. Cadle was part of the start-up of the local R.S.V.P. chapter, and a member for thirty two years.
R.S.V.P. offers volunteer opportunities for people 55 and older and from all walks of life. Members volunteer at the hospital, the Public Library, schools, nursing homes, at a workshop that makes gifts for Head Start children and many other sites.
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Jefferson County Endowment is a Designated Fund that makes annual grants to support R.S.V.P.’s work.
