On July 1, 1995, the Beverly McGuire Scott Memorial Fund was established by Beverly’s three children: Jeffrey, Patsy, and Chris Jones. They liked the idea of her name living on and knew she would be proud that her fund was assisting the Jefferson County community.
Beverly passed away from cancer on June 17, 1994. At the time of her diagnosis, the Oncology (Cancer Treatment) Department at KDH was just beginning to grow and evolve. Jeff, Patsy, and Chris knew that awarding grants to the Oncology Department from Beverly’s fund would be the perfect way to honor their mother.
Annual grants from this Designated Fund are sent to King’s Daughters’ Health to support the Oncology Department care for current and future cancer patients.
