The Carolyn Bruce Spicer and Gene E. Spicer Nursing Scholarship was established in 2019 by Carolyn and Gene Spicer.
Carolyn was a nurse for 45 years and wanted this endowment to help graduating high school seniors and area nurses attain their nursing education.
This scholarship is awarded to a Madison Consolidated High School graduating senior planning to pursue an Associate or bachelor’s degree in Nursing. An additional scholarship is awarded to registered nurses residing in Jefferson, Jennings, Clark, Ripley, Scott, or Switzerland Counties, IN, or Carroll or Trimble Counties, KY, who have their associate degree in Nursing and are planning to pursue their bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
