The Hanover United Methodist Church Food Pantry Fund in Memory of Marie Stier was established in 2020. It was created by Josh and Barb Ford to remember Barb’s grandmother, Marie.
Marie was the mother of eight children and fifty grandchildren. She was an accomplished cook and avid card player. She was known for her cooking throughout the region, with many friends and relatives requesting her dishes and pies for all occasions. She would never allow anyone in her presence to go hungry. Marie’s ability to live in the moment and love unconditionally made her beloved to all who knew her well.
Annual grants from this Designated Fund will support the Hanover United Methodist Church Food Pantry to provide food to residents of western Jefferson County.
