This Flexible Community Fund was established by Ann Suchocki and James Mason in 2014.
Ann and Jim saw this as a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community that has been so good to their family over the years. They chose to create a Flexible Community Fund because it allows for the most flexibility in investing in our community. They have put their trust in the Community Foundation to ensure their gifts are used to assist in helping meet the ever-changing needs of our community.
Ann’s parents, Art and Bobbe Suchocki, instilled in her the importance of “paying it forward” and actively serving within the community. Her parents served on and led several nonprofit organizations, including the Friends of Shawe and Pope John Schools, Inc. and the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce. Ann had the honor of serving in 2009 as President of the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, two decades after her mother had served in the same role. She also served as Chair of the Community Foundation in 2018.
Annual grants of this fund are utilized in the Foundation’s competitive grants process.
