Our Strength is in Numbers

The Women's Giving Circle of Jefferson County (WGCJC) is a community of philanthropic women of all generations and means who combine their financial strength to make a positive change for women and children throughout Jefferson County.

Assets of the WGCJC are held and maintained at the Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County (CFMJC) through a field of interest pass-through fund and a field of interest endowed fund, and members serve as the advisory panel for grants from these funds.

The goals of the WGCJC

  • Make a significant difference in the community by empowering women givers to contribute time, talents and monetary resources to women and family needs.
  • Educate and increase awareness of local women and family needs.
  • Provide social opportunities, events and exposure for women in our community.

The 2016 Women's Giving Circle Grant Cycle is now CLOSED.
The 2017 Women's Giving Circle Grant Cycle will open in the fall. Please read the Grants Guidelines, Criteria, & Priorities document to the right to see if your organization may be eligible to apply.
